  1. 1. Compensation(normal time)- Insurance and compensation in the basic fee

    If you rent a car, there is compensation by insurance, etc. the below amount limit.

    Bodily injury compensation
    In the case of death of others
    Unlimited coverage for each person
    Mandatory vehicle liability insurance 30,000,000 yen included
    Property damage compensation
    Other car or property damage
    Unlimited coverage for per accident
    Vehicle compensation
    When causing damage to rental cars
    Current price per accident
    Personal Injury Compensation
    When an accident resulting in injury or death of passengers
    Maximum of 30,000,000 yen per person(fixed number of passengers)

    *For the customers who book "Smart Pass Plan", Compensation Coverage is applied automatically. So you do not need to pay the deductible(50,000 yen) of property compensation and vehicle compensation.

  2. 2. Insurance deductible

    Usually, the following insurance deductible will be incurred in case of an accident.

    • *NOC (Non-Operation Charge) is, if a vehicle requires repair or cleaning due to an accident, the customer may be charged an NOC as part of the compensation for loss of use during the repair of the vehicle.
    • *You may have to pay 50,000 yen, in case of a major accident even you are able to drive back to the return outlet.
    • *Please note, if you smoke in a Non-smoking car, it will be subjected to NOC (Non-Operation Charge) as well.

    For the customers who book "Smart Pass Plan", Compensation Coverage and T.A.S. (ToCoo Additional Support) are applied automatically as well. So you do not need to pay the following fee will be exempt in case of an accident.

  3. 3. Compensation Coverage Fee

    Sky Rent A Car Okinawa 1,500 yen per day

    *If you book "Smart Pass Plan", the above Compensation Coverage fee is included in the car rental fee.

  4. 4. Compensation is not applicable in the following cases

    We will not accept the following cases for compensation/insurance, and compensation coverage that is included in the basic fee.

    1. 1) Accident that is not reported to the local police and the outlet
    2. 2) Accident during extending the rental period without notice.
    3. 3) Accidents caused by a driver who is not registered or not sub-drivers.
    4. 4) Accidents caused by drinking and driving, or due to a violation of the Road Traffic Act.
    5. 5) In case of negligence in management or usage of the borrower.
    6. 6) Accidents that are applicable to the disclaimer that is established by Sky Rent A Car's Rental Agreement.
    7. 7) Damage or ruin of car windows by stepping-stones, etc.
    8. 8) Damage or loss of car interior, or if the cleaning is necessary due to odor and dirt.
    9. 9) Wheel breakage and lost or damaged wheel cap.
    10. 10) Tire replacement cost due to a tire went flat and burst, or repair cost.
    11. 11) Tow truck fee due to vehicle movement.
  5. 5. Corresponding method in case of an accident or vehicle trouble occurred

    Please follow the below instructions in case of an accident. Please read the precaution carefully. If you neglect this, you can not apply for the insurance compensation. Also, please do not panic and contact us when car trouble such as you left your key in the car, flat battery, ran out of gas, or a wheel came off from the car.

    [CAUTION] Please do not settle with the adversary party at the crash site. Otherwise, insurance compensation will not be applicable.

    Corresponding method in case of an accident

    In addition to the above, the actual costs that customers need to pay

    1. 1) Drinking and driving
    2. 2) Driving without a license
    3. 3) If you settle with the other party without consent of Sky Rent A Car
    4. 4) Vehicle damage caused by theft
    5. 5) Driving over capacity
    6. 6) Driving in a place other than the coast, riverbed, forest, etc. that is not a roadway (Accidents other than maintained and managed roads)
    7. 7) Repair expenses for damage or corrosion of the car body etc. caused by poor usage
    8. 8) When used for various tests and competitions, or when used for towing/boosting other vehicles
    9. 9) Rental car damage due to accident with customer's vehicles etc
    10. 10) Corrupted other rental cars, signboards, etc. in the outlet
    11. 11) Accident caused by operation mistake
    12. 12) Damage to car interior equipment
    13. 13) Scratches due to tire chain, ski carrier etc.
    14. 14) Wheel breakage and lost or damaged wheel cap
    15. 15) Lost the key (30,000 yen will be charged uniformly)
    16. 16) Accidents caused by a malicious traffic violation
    17. 17) Accidents found to be malicious or deliberate
    18. 18) Accidents due to non-wearing of seat belt during driving
    19. 19) Damage due to lack of attention to the vehicle
    20. 20) Accidents that are applicable to the disclaimer that is established by Sky Rent A Car's Rental Agreement.
    Cases that you can not receive application of compensation even you have compensation coverage
    If an accident occurs due to a serious traffic violation such as the following cases, you have to pay deductibles or N.O.C. even you have compensation coverage and T.A.S..
    1. 1) Accidents caused by speeding and proved the speed was exceeded the speed limit
    2. 2) Accidents caused by passing the prohibited lane
    3. 3) Accidents caused by ignoring the signal
    4. 4) Accidents caused because of stop sign violation
    5. 5) Accidents caused by violation such as no right-turn, U-turn prohibition
    6. 6) Accidents caused by using mobile phone while driving
    7. 7) Accidents found to be malicious or deliberate
    8. 8) Misfueling
    9. 9) In case of the assaulter is unknown at the time of hit-and-run
    10. 10) Smoking in a non‐smoking car

    Please fill up the tank when you return the car
    The fuel of the rental car has to be full when you depart also, return your rental car with a "full" tank. Please fill up the tank at a gas station near the car outlet when you return the car. *For the customers applied "Smart Pass Plan", it is not necessary to return your car with a full tank. However, it depends on how much you use. In this case, it will be charged to the registered credit card by proper rate later. *For electric vehicles, it is not necessary to charge when you return.
    If you change the return time
    If you change the return time, or you can not reach the return time, please contact the pickup outlet before your return date. *They may not be able to accept any changes. Thank you for your kind understanding. *If you have been extended without notice, the car rental company may check on your car location. *Extension fee will be charged to the registered credit card via ToCoo! later. *A shuttle is available between the business hours(until 20:00). It may change depending on the service status of flights.
    Penalty Fee for Parking Violation
    • If you receive a mark of unattended vehicles during your rental period.
      1. 1) Please go to the police station that is written on the confirmation mark.
        *Car rental company will contact you after they receive a contact from the police.
      2. 2) Please go through the prescribed procedure and pay the penalty fee.
      3. 3) Please return the rental car after processing the violation.
        (Please present the documents that you received from the police and receipt when you return your car.)
    • In case you could not process the violation

      If you are unable to process the penalty fee before returning the rental car, you will be charged a fine for illegal parking "Standard car: 25,000 yen" separately. It will be charged to the registered credit card via ToCoo! later.

    Options
    Please install and check the child seat by yourself. Child seats are prescribed by law. We will refuse lending if you do not use it.
    We do not take any complaints about GPS.
    Vehicle check at departure (scratches etc.)
    The staff will check car conditions and car damage by the time the customer uses. If there is a scratch on the vehicle, we will check the dedicated sheet. When returning, we will check the final scratch based on that sheet.
    Lost property
    We will not be responsible for lost property or missing article, so please manage your valuables and belongings on your own responsibility.
